This spicy apple cider recipe is a perfect treat to warm up a cold winter evening. I love the fragrance of the fresh cinnamon stick as it mulls. It’s a great recipe to serve guests for the holidays!
2 cups apple cider
1/8 cup sugar
Sprinkle salt
⅛ teaspoon powdered cloves
4 whole allspice
1 cinnamon stick
1. Combine all ingredients in a 2 quart pot. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves.
2. Cool. Refrigerate in a covered container for several hours. When ready to serve, strain the mixture to remove spices.
3. Re-heat the mixture. Serve hot in mugs.
